I grew up in Collin County in the Dallas area and went birding for the first time when I was 11. I love traveling - I have birded in 47 states - but Texas has always been my favorite. I also particularly love the mountains of the western US. County birding is one of my favorite ways to bird because it involves exploring new areas and working towards goals, both of which are essential aspects of birding for me.

Unfortunately, I moved away from Texas a few years ago, so my century club progress has slowed down significantly. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2019 with a degree in Computer Science and am now living in Madison, Wisconsin, where I fully intend to continue county birding. Maybe at some point I'll move back to Texas, if only to get to 100 (or 254) century counties...
